Golf Courses
Bribie Island Golf Club • Private • 18 Holes •
Our favourite golf course, also the nearest, is Bribie Island Golf club, it is well established, sadly through ill health I have been unable to play for a while, the Bribie course and club house are extremely popular with overseas visitors
Our area
3kms from the beach, 5 to 10 minutes from nearest golf club and shopping mall, local shops and amenities are a short walk away in the village, a large choice of international golf courses within an hours drive, our house is ideal for a family, plenty for wife and children to do and see, dolphins all year round whales July to November, Australia zoo 25 minutes drive, Ningi is a peaceful village near the pumicestone passage and Bribie Island, 35 minutes from Brisbane International airport and from the city centre
About ourselves
We are retired, disabled but still very active English expats, I started playing my golf in Thailand in the early 1960s before it was opened up by the Americans, from there I played in Germany until about 83 and then discovered a little place in Portugal called Val de Lobo in 85, we emigrated in 96, my stepsons are both seasoned golfers, 3 years ago I had intensive spinal surgery, which sort of slowed me down a bit, but we still like to walk the courses and play a round or 2 if I am well enough. We are non smokers non drinkers, have been home swappers for 10 years, our home is very popular on the circuit, we have 5 return swappers mostly from Thailand and HK. |
