| House Details: Two storey, brick and cement sheet home on 800 sq mts. It has four bedrooms, a bathroom and toilet on the top floor and lounge dining, kitchen, laundry and second toilet on the bottom floor. Out back has a covered deck and we love to sit out here in spring and autumn. The gardens are established and we love to garden. There is a storage shed and a two car covered carport. |

Barnbougle Dunes is approximately one hours drive from Launceston. It is a links course and rated the NUMBER ONE Public course in AUSTRALIA.
The Country Club Casino is 10 minutes from the city and is a public course in excellent condition.
The Launceston Golf Club is also 10 minutes from the city and is an 18 hole championship course. It recently staged the Tasmanian Open Golf Championship.
Mowbray Golf club is another excellent 18 hole course, again 10 minutes from the City. It is the home of Ricky Ponting, the Australian Cricket Captain.
Our area
We live in suburban Summerhill. This suburb is 5 minutes drive from the City of Launceston. It is close to shops, schools and Medical centres. We are 10 minutes drive from the Tamar Valley. Here there are many tourist attractions, including Grindelwald, an authentic swiss village. There are also many wineries. The Tamar river runs 40 kms from Launceston to the sea and there are river cruises.
About ourselves
We are a middle aged couple with teenage children. I am the psycho golfer, my wife is not! We are travelling to UK and Europe in the middle of 2010 and would love to get to the British Open for a day or two and I would love to play the course and take my picture on that stone bridge on the 18th. I would also love to drown a golf ball in the swilkin burn and play a bunker shot on the 17th "road hole". My wife would visit craft shops. I am a bookkeeper and my wife is a schoolteacher. |
