St Helens Bay is our local course and we have family membership there. It is an 18 hole course, a mixture of parklands and links. With the wind blowing off the Irish sea it gives a challenging round of golf. The club house is built on the sea so, weather permitting, you can have a swim after your round. Children are welcome in the clubhouse so if you are travelling with your family they can have a beach day while you do battle on the course. St Helen's also have a sister club called Tusker Rock, which is 9 hole.
However, we really are spoiled for courses within 1 hours drive, there are far too many to mention.
There are a number of 3 club passes available in the south east coast of Ireland. If requested I will get more information.
Our area
The area is very quiet, off the beaten track yet only 11 miles from Wexford Town. We are 1 of a small cluster of houses all individually built. The Irish Sea is a mile away and there is nothing I love more than walking by the sea. I disappear for hours. There are many famous areas within driving distance, Kilmore Quay to name one. The Lobster Pot and other restaurants, The Castle View, close by, and many in Kilmore all service fantastic fresh fish.
About ourselves
My husband and I are both keen golfers and members of clubs in our home town also. We both play inter-club, my husband for St Helens whereas I've declared for my home club. This means that we are unable to always travel during the Irish golfing season, and would be interestsed in doing a non simultaneous exchange. Feel free to contact me
As you golfers know all the courses in Ireland are fantastic!!! We have though played in Florida, UK, Scotland, Portugal, Spain and I have played in Ghana - an experience! |
