| House Details: Double-storey thatch home with beautiful view over the village of St Francis Bay and out to sea. The bedroom upstairs is extremely spacious and opens out to the balcony. It has an en-suite bathroom which has been newly renovated and contains a separate bath and shower.
Downstairs there is a fully equipped kitchen which has also been recently redone.
The house is located within walking distance to the 2 local golf courses, St Francis Links and St Francis Golf Club.

St Francis Links has been described by Jack Nicklaus as "the best links course I've ever designed". Unfortunately we have not had the courage to play the course yet for fear of losing too many balls in the unforgiving rough and gusty winds which sometimes blow in the area. It has however been rated the best new course of 2007.
St Francis Golf Club is our home club and it is certainly one of our favourite courses as it both scenic and challenging especially when the wind blows! Our favourite is Hole 13. where the ocean spray can sometimes be felt on your back as you tee-off!
Our area
St Francis Bay is described as South Africa's best kept secret. The village has a prominent theme of white walls and thatch or black tiled roofing making it one of the most picturesque towns when seen from the air. It also has a unique canal system where the houses rank amongst the most sought after property in South Africa. The beaches are beautiful and the waves are popular amongst surfers.

About ourselves
We are South Africans now living in Switzerland - missing the awesome selection of affordable golfing in South Africa. We have a baby daughter who will receive her own set of clubs when she can swing them at the cat and dogs! We have kept our holiday home at the coast and endeavour to travel back at least once a year for a good, relaxing, beach and golf holiday. |
