| House Details: Our house has a tranquil location overlooking the sea. Although it is a B&B it is also our home and can be enjoyed as such. All bedrooms are en-suite. There is a large swimming pool on the sea facing side of the house and a lovely BBQ area at the back overlooking a large garden. It is a four minute walk to the beach where there is also a very good Italian restaurant.

This area of S.Africa is known as the Golf Coast due to the number of golf courses. Southbroom is a lovely course just a few minutes drive from our house. The green fees are very affordable at around $35 There are many others within half an hours drive including the Wild Coast which is a must play course. The club has a an excellent reputation for the friendliness of its staff and most particularly it Pro - Derek James (Past S African PGA Pro of the Year and Coach of the Year) and Sheena, his wife, who runs the best and most well stocked Pro Shop for 150klms.
Our area
Southbroom is a beautiful village set around the golf course with fantastic views and affordable green fees. The village also has a small supermarket,a pharmacy, several restaurants, a hairdresser, a wonderful Day Spa, a coffee shop etc. There are beautiful quiet beaches to be enjoyed and wonderful for long walks and surfing.
A recent exchanger from the UK used our house as a base and travelled to the famous Drakensberg Mountains and to the Zulu Battlefields. There is also a huge Big Five Game Reserve just 4 1/2 hours drive away.
About ourselves
Hello, I'm Liz, Jonathan (my husband) and I moved here from the UK six years ago and run our house as a B&B. This allows us time for our passion for golf. We are in our early sixties and see this as semi retirement. We love to travel (particularly South Carolina)and preferably combine this with golf and also love to join with our family on these holidays. We have two sons who may join us with their partners and possibly three grandchildren. |
